I tried to give the students as much exposure to community theatre and outside learning opportunities as I could. We always did a spring trip to Disney where we would take workshops on acting or musical theatre and then spend the day playing in the park. We also took a few field trips to Venice Theatre to do workshops with them on technical theatre, acting, and getting an understanding of theatre in the real world.
